Our lineup includes models for various needs. The Ranch Axe and Timberwolf series can handle trees up to 16 inches, while our 20" Ranch Axe Tree Shear is designed for softwoods up to 20 inches in diameter, making it ideal for pasture reclamation and cedar removal.

A brush cutter, like our Vortex model, uses a heavy, spinning flywheel with blades to mulch dense brush and small trees (up to 8 inches). A tree shear uses powerful hydraulic cylinders to cut larger, single trees cleanly at the base, offering more precision and control.

Requirements vary by model. Our Vortex brush cutters have standard, medium, and high-flow options (19-41 GPM). Most of our tree shears operate efficiently on standard flow systems, typically requiring 15-30 GPM. Always check the product specifications for the exact model you need.

We build our attachments for extreme duty. Shearing arms are made from solid cast steel or heavy-duty fabricated A572 steel, and blades are crafted from replaceable, high-tensile AR400 steel to ensure long life and peak performance in demanding land clearing environments.

Yes, the 14" & 16" Ranch Axe models are specifically engineered for tough hardwoods like mesquite, oak, and locust. The larger 20" model is optimized for softer woods, such as cedar and juniper, and is not recommended for dense hardwood applications.
